Dr. DeGue is a public health leader, accomplished researcher, and thought leader in the field of violence prevention. With more than 25 years experience, she has advised educational institutions, community-based organizations, state and local health departments, and federal agencies on reducing risk for violence through evidence-based interventions. Dr. DeGue is a recognized expert in sexual violence and teen dating violence prevention, and led the development of CDC's Dating Matters Toolkit.

Dr. Le is a public health and violence prevention expert with more than 15 years experience. She excels in planning, directing, and implementing research, rigorous evaluations, and providing strategic technical assistance for public health initiatives. Dr. Le spearheaded high-profile projects on intimate partner violence, dating violence, and technology-facilitated violence, partnering with research institutions, community-based organizations, state and local health departments, and federal agencies.

Dr. Kearns is a clinical psychologist and behavioral scientist advancing public health through evidence-based work. With 16 years’ experience, she brings expertise in program evaluation, applied research, and strategic planning to bolster prevention. Dr. Kearns turns data into actionable strategies that drive impact, shaping national initiatives by partnering with public health agencies, community groups, and government entities to implement prevention-focused change.

Colleen Ray, PhD

Colleen Ray, PhD

Associate Consultant

Dr. Ray is a sociologist and methodologist with more than 10 years of experience. She approaches research from a multidisciplinary perspective and approaches the world and her work using an intersectional lens. She has led and contributed to projects using a variety of quantitative, qualitative, and mixed method approaches culminating in important data for family wellbeing, political public perception, mental health, substance use and abuse, and most frequently, violence prevention.
